<p>Political elites and Corporate elites, on both sides of the aisle, have controlled Alabama for too long. They have ignored the will of the people in favor of what makes them money and keeps them in power. We see that in gerrymandering, in tax policy, in the restrictions on local control, and in the inability of citizens to put forward ballot initiatives.</p>

<h2>Power to the People</h2>

<p>Government exists to benefit the people, to establish frameworks by which we can all live as freely as possible. Restrictions on freedoms should be allowed only when deemed necessary for the safety and well-being of the community. </p>
