They started this map trouble.

Let's finish it.

Alabama Republicans are dismantling the Voting Rights Act.

This year, following the Supreme Court's decision in Callais vs Louisiana, the Alabama GOP took the UNPRECENDENTED step of changing our Congressional maps less than six months before the Election. They VOIDED the results of the May 19th primary in four Congressional Districts, and they are making candidates and voters start all over again with a new primary to be held August 11. This move hurts Black voters and it hurts all Democrats in Alabama. But we don't have to go down without a fight.

If they want to fight dirty, we'll fight dirty.

So what's the move?

If we don't have a Democratic Primary, we're going to vote in the Republican Primary for the candidate that we want to beat in November.

Sign up below and we'll notify you on August 8th about who to vote for in the Republican Primary on August 11. If all of us vote for the same Republican, we can choose who will be running against our Democratic nominees.

It feels weird.

Is this allowed?

Yes anyone can vote in the Republican Primary on August 11.

  • Shouldn't we vote in the Democratic Primary? There will not be a Democratic ballot available on August 11 in Congressional District 1, 2, and 7.

  • What about the rules against crossover voting? Crossover voting is a rule concerning Primary Runoff elections. This is NOT a primary runoff election. Read more from the Attorney General.

  • Does voting in the Republican primary make me a Republican? No. You don't have to vote for a Republican ever again if you don't want to.

  • Can we still vote for the Democrat in November? Yes! Please vote for the Democrat in November.
