Maurice Mercer was raised to contribute to his community. After being elected the first African-American on Pelham City Council, Mercer served three terms including President of the Council from 2020-2025. Ashleigh Meyer Dunham for Supreme Court Associate Justice: Dunham is a distinguished legal professional with a career rooted in service to Alabama families. AshLeigh is also a practicing Fertility Attorney at Magic City Fertility Law. James Gordon for Public Service Commission, Place 1: Dr. Gordon, a licensed chiropractor, previously served in the Alabama House of Representatives, representing District 98 from 2006 to 2010, where he advocated for families, consumers, and local communities across the Mobile area. Sheila McNeil for Public Service Commission, Place 2: Sheila McNeil served two terms on the San Antonio City Council, where she held key leadership roles, including Chair of the Metropolitan Planning Organization, Infrastructure Growth Committee, and Internal Government Relations Committee. In addition to her public service, McNeil spent a decade as a political science professor at the University of Texas at San Antonio, shaping the next generation of leaders.
